She was predeceased by: her son Sylvester Stokes; and her siblings, Johnnie Stokes, Jr., Robert Stokes, Freddie Stokes and Dora Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Evans (Jacqueline Wilson) of Augusta, GA, Charlene Evans, Glenda L. Evans and N. Y.; her siblings, Jake Stokes (Corene) of Waynesboro, GA, Henry Stokes (Linda), Mary Johnson (Henry), Gertrude Hamelin, Annie Atwell (Eddie) and Katie Jackson; her sisters-in-law, Leora Stokes and Louise Stokes; her grandchildren, Nikkiya Evans, Tomeah Evans, Steven English, Emani Morgan and Earl Morgan, Jr.; her great grandchild Riley English; and her godchildren, Sylvester Carlis, Amare Harris, Erica Longmire, Barbara Bowden and Charles Hankerson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
