He is survived by: his mother Rose Annie Matthews Merritt of Waycross; his children, Donald Sean Merritt of Waycross and Donna Michelle Merritt of Brunswick; his grandchildren, Emileigh Henson, Amelia Merritt, Bentley Henson and Matthew Henson; and his sisters, Dorothy Taft (David) of Waresboro and Cynthia King (Chris) of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
