She was predeceased by : her parents, Whit Field Wynn and Bertha Osburn Wynn; her husband James; and her sons, David E. Leggett and MSgt James A. Mathis II (Jim).

She is survived by : her daughters, Pamela Byers (David) of Temple, TX, Janet Leggett of Waycross, GA, Susan Smith (Tony) of Milton, GA and Diana Edwards (Eric) of Lake Hamilton, FL.; and her great grandchildren, Piper Landrum (Jon), Mindy Morgan (Beau), Chris Leggett (Christy), TSgt James W. Mathis (Teresa), Colt Myers (Brittney), Maggie Smith, Maddie Smith, Casey, Graham Landrum, Brooke, Bailey Morgan, Lacy, Cooper Leggett, Lily, Logan Mathis, Sutton and Hudson Myers. She is also survived by 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of the Waycross Seventh Day Adventist Church and has spent her life planting her foundation and serving in the name of the Lord.
