He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Newsome and Mary Newsome; his wife Cindy Murrell Newsome; his grandson Alan Randall Newsome; and his brother Gene Newsome.
He is survived by: his sons, Alan Shane Newsome (Cyndi) of Burke County and Scott Newsome (Shirl) of Augusta; his significant other Kristy Akridge; his siblings, Vernon Newsome (Kay) of Windsor, SC, Justin Newsome (Jean) of Thomson and Mary McCaleb (Ellis) of Grovetown; and his grandchildren, Brandon Newsome (Kristan) of Augusta and Brandy Black of Augusta. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
