She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Albert Coogler and Farbia Coleman Coogler. She is survived by: her husband Ralph Matthews; her children, John Michael Matthews (Lisa), Steven Matthews (Brandy) and Tiffany Matthews; her godson Jonathan May; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Matthews, Christopher Matthews, John Tyler, Austin, Grayson, Delaney Matthews and Brooklyn Matthews; and her niece Machandra Story. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
