He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elbert Lane and Mildred Flynt Lane; his siblings, Eddie Lane, Donnie Lane and Barbara Pierce; his wife Mary Anne Lane; his daughters, Melanie Stephens (Josh), Kerri Anne Bankston and Becky Lane; his grandchildren, Meagan Olson, Matt Olson, Taylor Olson, Brandon Bankston, Jessica Fabean (Max) and McKenzie Puckett; his great grandchild Asher Fabean; and his sister Linda Sprayberry (Lee). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews and their children.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Oak Hill Church in memory of Sammy Lane.
