With solemn reverence, we commemorate Sampson R Christian of Winterville, Georgia, whose life came to an end on July 25, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Willie Ray and Sara Christian of Colbert, GA; his siblings, David, Daniel and Belinda; his wife Phyllis; his sons, Kevin (Brittany) and Eric (Marianne); his grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, Ellianna, Jonas and Abrie; his siblings, Sherry (Dickie) and Matthew (Jackie); his brother-in-law Randy (Karen); and his pet Maggie. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Grove Chapel Congregational Holiness Church (306 Grove Chapel Church Rd, Winterville, GA 30683). A burial will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at the Grove Chapel Church Cemetery (130 Grove Chapel Church Rd, Winterville, GA 30683).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Grove Chapel CH Church Building Fund, continuing Sam's mission of growing the church and spreading the good news of salvation thru Jesus.
