He was predeceased by : his parents, James Clinton Godwin, Sr. and Betty Stone Godwin. He is survived by : his sons, Joshua Godwin (Michelle) of Akron and Clinton Godwin (Ashley) of Akron, Ohio; his grandchildren, Mikayla, Madison and Aiden; his siblings, Scotty Godwin, Ed Godwin and Cindy of Illinois; and his close friends, Shelly Dodge (Wayne), Rachael Whisman and Phillip Whisman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
