It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melinda Carter Briggs (Woodbine, Georgia), born in Saint Marys, Georgia, who passed away on April 1, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Eugene Carter and Winnie Lee Clark Carter; her husband Donald "Hobart" Eugene Briggs; and her brother Glenn Carter. She is survived by : her son Edward; her daughter-in-law Erica Briggs of Woodbine, GA; her daughter Donna Briggs (John Brooks) of Woodbine, GA; her grandchildren, Colbey Briggs, Peyton Briggs, Devon Blankenship, Simen Blankenship and Austin Brooks; and her siblings, Timmy Carter of White Oak, Tommy (Gwen Carter), David (Joey Carter), Anita Chandler of Waverly and Angie Carter of Waverly.
