He was predeceased by : his parents, Houston Rutledge and Ida Rutledge; and his sons-in-law, Randy Brenton and John McElwaine. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Stapleton; his children, Bob (Dana), Gena Brazie, Tammy O'Shields (Jeff) and Michelle McElwaine; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Patrick, Bobbie, Samantha, Zander and Rosalie; and his great grandchildren, Madison and Braxton. He is also survived by brothers/sisters in law and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
