She was predeceased by : her father Charles Edward Weldon. She is survived by : her children, Emily and Joey Tillman; her mother Betty Jean Weldon; her sisters, Debbie Wagner and Alison Fogerty; her aunt Barbara Wallace; and her uncles, Steve Wallace and James Earl Wallace.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc. (8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Hillside Church (4474 Towne Lake Pkwy, Woodstock, GA 30189). She was instrumental in coordinating the international response to the Covid outbreak and in 2022 received the Center For Global Health "Unsung Hero" Award for her pivotal role on the CDC Covid International Response Team.
