She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcus Ivey and Kate Veal Ivey. She is survived by: her husband William Jerome Owensby, Sr. (Jerry) of Wrightsville; her children, William Jerome Owensby, Jr. (Jay) and Melissa Owensby Poynter (Jeff) of Suwanee; her sister Sue Thompson of Wrightsville; her grandchildren, Abby Gomez (Andrés), Katie Hay (Max), Maddie Carr (Tyler), Cassie Reimund (Paul), Riley Poynter and Lexi Owensby; and her nephews, Marc Thompson (Lisa) of Dacula and Gary Burgamy (Sandy) of Dublin. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
