He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Hughes and Annie Mae Kuykendall Hughes; his wife Maxine Townsend Hughes; and his brothers, Frank, Albert and Clayton Hughes (Bud).
He is survived by : his daughters, Tammy Hughes of Young Harris, Twyla (Dale Nicholson) of Young Harris, Tonya (Alley Page) of Young Harris and Tosha Hughes of Young Harris; his sister Maudine Fortenberry of Blairsville; his grandchildren, Justin Moody, Matthew (Melissa Youngblood), Andy (Kayla Page) and Allison (Collin Waldrip); and his great grandchildren, Maddi, Maverick Youngblood and Blakely Page. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Hughes memory.
