He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Phillips and Bertha Henderson Phillips; his wife Linda Phillips; and his brothers, Charles, Cecil and Hal Phillips.

He is survived by : his daughter Amy; his son-in-law Doug Breedlove of Blairsville; his son Troy Phillips Jr. (Jennifer Phillips) of Young Harris; his sister Charlotte Murphy of Blairsville; his sister-in-law Patricia Phillips of Young Harris; his grandchildren, Daniel Phillips, Heather, Nick Bruce, Coltin Hemphill, Lindsay Largeman, Savannah, Blake Gray, Joseph Phillips, Jacob and Israel Davis; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Lincoln Bruce, Wesley, Adalyn, Calvin Gray and Karter Hemphill.

Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Chatuge Nursing Home in Mr. Phillips memory.
