She was predeceased by: her parents, David M. Kaapu and Myrtle M. K. King; her close friend H. Kamakohua Sproat; her husband Kosena S. T. Fonoimoana Sr.; and her brothers, David Awai Kauka Kaapu (Leona) and David Kekoa Kaapu (Diana).
She is survived by: her children, Kaohu K. Sproat (Sandy), Ānuenue Kamakaʻala (Alyn) of Maile, S. K, Johnson (Darren) and Kehau Sproat (Selena); and her stepchildren, Rodney (Tessie), Kosena Jr. (Mayette), Ferron (Lucie), Wayne (Masa), Kurt (Lily), Toa Fonoimoana, Lanae Ngatuvai (Liahona), Adeline Keama (Kealoha) and Luella Meredith (Tyrone). She is also survived by her grandchildren, great+ grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Hauula Makai Chapel (53-958 Kamehameha Hwy, Hauula, HI 96717). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
