Hiroshi was loved and cherished by many people including: wife Shizuho Ota of Hilo; sons, Terence Ota (Karen), Leslie Ota (Julie) and Craig Ota (Bridget Dias) of Hilo; siblings, Satoshi Ota, Charles Ota (Gladys) of Hilo, Yukie Kunihiro, Ruth Ouye (Robert), Lorraine Hashimoto (Gordon) of Hilo and Dorothy Burton (James) of Puna; and siblings-in-law, Mayumi Ota, Laura Ota, Ellen Okimura, Marian Kuruhara (Raymond) of Hilo, Sayoko Murai (Yoshiki) of Honolulu, Vivian Prosise of Los Angeles, Arleen Gerbig (Donald) of Maui and Kenneth Nagai (Alice) of Honolulu. Hiroshi was also cherished by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
