He is survived by: his wife Antoinette "Toni" Kaipo of Hilo, HI; his children, Mechelle Kaipo of Hilo, HI, Jonette Figueroa (Dennis, Jr.) of Hilo, HI, Hanai, Tracy Arruda (Kaleo) of Hilo, HI, Amy Salvido (Paul) of Honolulu, HI, Joseph Kaipo, III of Hilo, HI and Travis Santa-Isabel (Tricia) of Mountain View, HI; his sisters, Betty "Leinaala" Pelanca (Vicente) of Hilo, HI and Geraldine Kaipo-Kawasaki of Hilo, HI; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Kaipo of Hilo, HI and Mallory Kaipo of Hilo, HI. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; numerous hanai grand and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
