He is survived by: his wife Kay Kawazoe of Hilo; his sons, Brian Kawazoe (Ann Vasconcellos) of Hilo, Neal Kawazoe (Ruth) and Miles Kawazoe (Naomi) of Hilo; his sister Satsuyo Taira of Hilo; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Kawazoe of Hilo, Jane Kawasaki (Vic) of Fremont, California, Stanley Iwata (Charlotte) of Las Vegas, Raymond Iwata (Jean) of Pahoa and Ronald Iwata (Karen) of Hilo. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
