He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife June Savella of Hilo; his children, Boyd Savella (Robyn Matsumoto) of Hilo and Jodie Yanagihara (Casey) of Hilo; and his siblings, David "Sonny" Savella of Maui and Rosalind "Rosie" Fujinaka of Kaneohe. He was also cherished by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
