It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen O. L. Mun (Honolulu, Hawaii), who passed away on October 17, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her former life partner Lawrence Mun; her son Everett Mun; her brother Alvin Young; and her parents, Kai Tong Young and Hazel Lau Young.

She is survived by : her husband Larry; her children, Carlson Mun (Venancia), Jewel Toyama (Gerald) and Lovelyn Voorhees (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Chelsea Shiraishi (Kalani), Brandee Lei Toyama, Kristen Mun-Van Noy (Adam), Troy Toyama, Lacee Toyama of New York City, NY, Matthew Mun of Portland, OR and Asia Voorhees of Tacoma, WA.; and her great grandchildren, Kysen and Kairi Shiraishi.
