He is survived by : his wife Alice Loando Kanoa of Kailua-Kona; his children, Bert Kanoa (Seveanita) of Kapaau, Bradley Kanoa of Mt. View, Juanita Smith (Chad) of Kailua-Kona, Bernalyn Kanoa of Kailua-Kona, Ipo Johnson (Trenton) of Kailua-Kona and Amanda Caron of Kalaoa, Kona; and his siblings, Arnold Lum (Jerri) of Waimanalo, Oahu, Gerald Lum (Jerri) of Maui, Sandra Dias (Paul) of Laupahoehoe, Lawrence, Albert, Charles, Jeanne, Florence, Beatrice, Mildred, Carol and Joyce. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
