He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Leonard Sweeney and Rosemary Sweeney (Daniel); and his great grandchild Ella. He is survived by : his daughter Dawn Sweeney Kniep (Jeff) of Sedgwick County, KS.; his siblings, Michael Sweeney (Barbara), Dennis Sweeney (Judy) of Maricopa County, AZ., Kevin Sweeney (Kathryn) of Nevada County, CA. and Kathleen Jackson (Harold); his grandchildren, Miles Kniep (Gabrielle) of Haarlem, Spenser Kniep (Amara) of Sedgwick County, KS. and Sydney Kniep of Sedgwick County, KS; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Eva, Jackson and Anabelle; his nieces and nephews, David Sweeney (Cathrine), Eric Sweeney (Shannon), Kameron (Chuck), Gillian (Danny), Katelan Sweeney, Kisiah Toscano (Chris), Ronald Lyles (Lindsay) and Beatriz Jordan; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kirin, Kevin, Breanna, Alexandria, August, Isabella, Gabriel, Ryder, Donald, Kenna, Nicholas and Scarlett.
