He is survived by : his children, Stephanie Apolo (Sonny) of Hilo, Kyle Hooper (Michelle) of Waimea and Wendy Medeiros (Clifford) of Kalaoa; his stepchildren, Shawn Ibarra of California, Joshua Mareko of Las Vegas, NV, Hoapili Naope of Kainaliu and Yvette Ibarra-Keohuloa of Honolulu; his brothers, Junichi Nakamoto (Shirley) of Kealakekua, George Tamashiro of Kailua-Kona, Mel Kaneshiro of Waimea and Mary Tarpley of Kailua-Kona; and his siblings-in-law, Terry Muraki (Gloria) of Kona, Glen Muraki (Lynette) of Waimea, Robert Mitchell, Sr. (Bernice) of Pu, Pearl Muraki of Kona, Emmaline Hooper (William) of Pu and Joan Respecio of Hilo. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
