IN LOVING MEMORY
Field Jr, Harry Peyton age 97 of Oahu, Hawaii passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Known as 'Pete', he was a renaissance man of may talents and interests. From Carpentry to geology, investing to farming, physics to history, opera to traveling, his many interests kept him young at heart. He is survived by three Daughters and one son, Mary Jane Field Riford (Lloyd Stephen III) of O'ahu, Sylvia Jean Field James (Frank William) of Las Vegas, Peter Robert Field (Karen Ruth Wiegardt) of O'ahu and Linda Elisabeth Field Sisson (Jeffrey Alan) of Arkansas.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Grandchildren: Simone Catherine Riford Hanna of Texas and Zz Stephen Riford of Honolulu, Frank William James Jr. of Oregon, Benjamin Butler Field of O'ahu, Beau Jeffrey Sisson of Arkansas, Carolyn Rose Sisson Lipps of Alaska, Jeremiah Jeffrey Sisson of O'ahu and Joel Jeffrey Sisson of Arkansas. Great-Grandchildren: David Jeffrey Lipps, Jeremiah James Lipps, and Thomas Lee Lipps, sons of Carolyn Rose Sisson and Colton James Lipps; Olea Laura Field daughter of Benjamin Butler Field and Laura Jane Steele Field; Kori Claire Tucker and Tegan Jean Tucker twin daughters of Beau Jeffrey Sisson and Samantha Pamela Ginn Sisson.
Pete was born in Richmond, Virginia to parents Catharine Pratt Field and Harry P. Field. The family moved to Hawaii in 1925. His interest in all things lead him to become an Eagle Scout at 16. After graduating from Punahou School, Pete entered the military early in WWII serving in both the Navy and the Army. After the War he studied electrical systems and became a licensed electrician. In 1948 he built the first of five houses he constructed during his life. Pete began a career as an electrical mechanic for United Airlines in 1951. He married Miriam Jane Butler (Nana) in 1953 and they purchased a farm in Kahalu'u where he built three more houses. After 30 years at United he retired to his farm in Kahalu'u where the Fearless Field Force raised sweet corn and grandchildren. Pete finished his fifth house at Wailau Point in 1997, where he and Nana enjoyed gardening, hydroponics, visitors, and great grandchildren.
