We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2024, at the age of 77, Paula Marie Nakaoka of Kaneohe, Hawaii, born in Honolulu, Hawaii passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Paula Marie had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Paula Marie may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Marie Horio and Marvin Horio; her sister Elizabeth (Geroge Lewi III); and her granddaughter Kelci Shigeta. She is survived by : her husband Cliford Nakaoka, Sr.; her children, Cliford Nakaoka, Jr. (Jodi Ann), Todd Nakaoka and Kelli Shigeta (Todd); and her grandchildren, Alyssa Nakaoka, Chelsea Nakaoka and Brandon Nakaoka.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Valley of the Temples Main Chapel (47-200 Kahekili Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 14th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery (45-349 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744).
