It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karlene Rae Jelsma of Mountain View, Hawaii, born in Hilo, Hawaii, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Jelsma of Mountain View; her children, Christopher Jelsma (Shannon) of Hilo, Tyler Jelsma (Chelsie) of Hilo, Cody Jelsma of Puna and Kaela Jelsma of Hilo; her parents, John Beardsley and Betty Beardsley of Hilo; her siblings, Keith Beardsley (Joanie) of Hilo, Janice Neumann (Terry) and Lisa Tipsword (John) of Oregon; and her grandchildren, Tiffany Jelsma, Braeden Jelsma and Kiana Jelsma. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 a private memorial service for immediate family members will be held from 9 a. m. to 10:15 a. m. Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Sure Foundation Puna; friends may view livestream on Facebook, "Sure Foundation Puna" or website, "surefoundation. church/media".
