It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Iwao Takaki (Naalehu, Hawaii), born in Pahala, Hawaii, who passed away on December 2, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Iwao is survived by: children, Rodney Takaki of Pahala, Nora Kaaua (Robert) of Hilo and June Takaki-Garcia (Albert) of Naalehu; sisters, Ayame Nagata of Hilo, Yaeko Inoue of Kaneohe and Toshiko Mikawa of Cerritos, California; and siblings-in-law, Martha Takaki of Honolulu, Gladys Takaki of Morgan Hill, Yuriko Prentice of Texas, Irene Kohara of Naalehu and Clayton Murakami of Kaneohe, Oahu. Iwao is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
