It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Kaya of Wailuku, Hawaii, born in Laie, Hawaii, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband James Setsuo Kaya; her parents, Yasukichi Yamada and Tatsuyo Yamada; and her siblings, Ricky, Tommy and Chiyoko.

She is survived by : her children, Clayton Kaya (Kyohee), Yolanda Mandawe (Larry) and Leola Kaya; her stepson Wesley Apo (Pre); her sister Juanita Nagata; her grandchildren, Lia Enomoto, Elyse Hong (Keoki) and Casey Kaya; and her great grandchild Kaiya Hong.

The family requests no flowers or koden.
