She was predeceased by: her parents, Solomon Hoopai and Beatrice Hoopai; her husband Raymond Kuaana; her children, John Rivera, Lorna Kumalae (Ona), Stacey Hosino (Moses), Virginia Kamaka (Clifford) and Judy Pavlik (Richard); her great great grandchild Hanai; and her siblings, Kenneth Hoopai and Maizie Manaois.
She is survived by: her sons, Raymond Rivera (Bill), James Rivera (Kimo), Duane Rivera (Grata) and Dexter Rivera (Remi); and her siblings, Solomon Hoopai Jr. (Bully), Anson Hoopai, Cathy Tanoue (Lina), Melanie Mau, Lynette Malaikini, Barbara Ann Benton, Robin Sylva and Martha Mizner.
