He was predeceased by: his parents, Abe Bertman and Lena Bertman; and his brother Philip. He is survived by: his wife Jean H. Duncanson Bertman; his children, Samuel Bertman (Kayleen) of Adel and Ivy Lynn Bertman of Simpsonville; his granddaughters, Madison, Sydney, Delaney, Isla, Olivia and Alexandra; his sister Harriet Bertman Servos (Walter) of Northbrook, IL; and his close friends, James, Victoria McGinnis, Andrew Paramantgis, Joseph Angotti and Kate LeMonds. He is also survived by 5 nephews, 4 nieces.
