Francis Paulus Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Francis Paulus of West Des Moines, Iowa, born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on December 8, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Francis Paulus to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Orville and Mary Joan Paulus (Grabin); and his sisters, Helen Tracy and Mary Concannon. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Paulus; his children, Pat Paulus, Rob Paulus (Kris), Mike Paulus (Terri), Mary Koger (Chuck) and Tim Paulus (Merenciana); his grandchildren, Jake Paulus (Jen Weaver), Zach Paulus, Nick Paulus (Jillian), Jessica Paulus (Dom Mindrum), Josh Paulus (Katherine Lewis), Caleb Paulus (Mia Fogle), Samuel Paulus, Anna Paulus, Alex Heckman, Jacqui Koger and Teagan Paulus; and his great grandchildren, Kyler, Korbin and Cecilia Paulus.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322). A prayer will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (7075 Ashworth Rd, West Des Moines, IA 50266). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
Memorial contributions are suggested to Everystep Hospice-Kavanagh House, for the excellent care they provided Frank and the family, or to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in West Des Moines.
