He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roberts and Kathryn Roberts (Beebout); his brothers, Craig and Jay; his grandchildren, Aliya McDonald and Keith Michael McVay; and his stepson Eric McVay.
He is survived by: his former wife Velma Rizzi; his wife Betty McVay; his children, Steven Roberts of Winterset, Tina McDonald (Matt) of Waukee and Kathie Roberts of West Bend; his stepchildren, Patrick McVay of Winterset, Delta McVay of Winterset, Nathan McVay (Sabrina) of Winterset and Bud McVay (Michelle) of Peru; his brother Daryl Roberts (Mary Lynn) of Kansas City, MO; and his sister-in-law Flo Roberts of Winterset. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
