She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Oswald and Eleanor Oswald (Korth); her spouse James Schnoes; and her brothers, Vern, Duane, Gene, Don and Joe.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Christensen (Tonya) of Woodland Park, Mark Christensen (Diane) of Coralville and Susan Christensen (Kent); and her grandchildren, Paul of Stephanie, AJ, Claire, Ashley and Matthew.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Master Gardener Program, the Friends of the Animal Center Foundation or to the University of Iowa Foundation for the Stead Family Children's Hospital.
