She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Geerts and Margaret Geerts (Brehm); her husband Virgil; her daughter Carol Alverson; and her siblings, Paul Geerts (Helen), Louis Geerts (Katherine), Andrew Geerts (Monica), Elmer Geerts (Joann), Daniel Geerts, Ruth Kruth (Everest) and Mabel Geerts.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Winter of Bethany, MO, Dennis Marvin (Colleen) of Alta Vista, IA, Raymond Marvin (Dorothy) of Ankeny, IA, Beverly Spangler (Michael) of Lakeville, MN, Paula Baker (Jimmy) of Charles City, IA and Bryan Marvin (Ann Bettesworth) of Charles City, IA; her son-in-law James Alverson of Brunswick, MO; and her sisters-in-law, Coletta Geerts of New Hampton, IA, Delores Welch of Kohler, WI and Mary Knuston of Elma, IA.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
