Eldon N. Peterson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eldon N. Peterson of Alta, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Eldon's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Eldon's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Peterson and Eleanora Peterson (Larson); and his parents-in-law, Leonard and Darlene Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Deb of Alta; his adoptive daughters, Megan Benz and Nikole Nuttall; his sister-in-law Jan Anderson (Don Thom) of Ceylon, MN; and his nephew James Anderson. He is also survived by many cousins, and a host of students and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (401 W 2nd St, Alta, IA 51002). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
