He was predeceased by: his parents, Minor William and Sylvia Edna Havick (Copeland); his wife Jeannette Katherine Havick; his siblings, Jean Havick, Robert Havick and Virginia Schnack; his son-in-law Melvin Dinesen; and his granddaughter Nancy Boos.
He is survived by: his friend Dallas Andrew Havick; his mother-in-law Anna Sorensen; his children, Janis Dinesen of Harlan and David Havick (Kim) of Altoona; and his grandchildren, Amy Heflin (Robert) of Harlan, Jason Dinesen (Tracy) of Indianola, Joel Havick (Sarah) of Norwalk and Melody Havick of Ankeny. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
