She was predeceased by: her parents, Morrell Cox and Marie Morris Cox; her spouse Tunis Van Ommen; and her sister Mildred Harvey. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Fye (Warren) of Pleasant Hill, Marilyn Holcomb Peters of Altoona and Dean Van Ommen of Ozark, Missouri; her grandchildren, Ranee Carter (Ebon), Barry Hartman (Erik Komers), Brock Holcomb and Kane Peters; and her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Hanan (Jacob) and Hannah Willoughby (Marcellus).

Memorials may be made to Bluff Creek Cemetery.
