Janet Lee Schwieger Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 17, 2025, at the age of 84, Janet Lee Schwieger of Altoona, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Lee Schwieger to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Lee" Sloan and Leila Sloan (Flitsch). She is survived by: her children, Tammy Stapp of Altoona, Rodney Schwieger of Bloomfield and Sam Schwieger (Cathy) of Aurora, IL; her grandchildren, Jacob Stapp (Morgan), Kalen McCrea (Jay), Stephanie Schwieger, Daniel Schwieger and Benjamin Schwieger; her great grandchildren, Bennet and Banks Stapp; her sisters, Linda Schminke (DuWayne) and Kay (Kent); her friend BJ Grant; and also, Jean (Gene) and Bill Sloan (Cletis). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Murdoch Funeral Home (3855 Katz Dr, Marion, IA 52302). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at the Lafayette Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the McGowen Recreational Area, Bloomfield Rotary, and DC Athletic Club.
