It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Von Stein (Altoona, Iowa), born in Taintor, Iowa, who passed away on October 26, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Grant and Mildred Grant; and her brother Ron Grant. She is survived by: her husband Leon Madison Von Stein; her children, Doug (Van) of Lewisville and Laurie of Parkville, Missouri; her grandsons, Kevin Tran, Casey and Michael Von Stein; her brothers, Den Grant (Susan) of Charles City, Rick Grant (Paula) of Waverly and Randy Grant (Lori) of Des Moines; and her sister-in-law Susanne Elson of Clive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Bondurant Christian Church, CWF Camp Fund or Bondurant Public Library.
