He is survived by: his wife Lori Short; his children, Renee Short and Rodger Lee Moran; his grandchildren, Nick Jr., Andrew Jr., Ashlynn Jr., Patrick Jr., Samantha Jr. and Todd Jr.; and his siblings, Frank Short (Janet) and Elanna Fultz (James). He is also survived by grandparents and paternal grandparents.
