She was predeceased by: her husband Rex Kooyman; her parents, Paul Smith and Maxine Smith; and her brother Dennis Smith. She is survived by: her children, Brian Kooyman (Kathy), Becky Parre (Mike) and Kevin Kooyman; her grandchildren, Mike Kooyman, Aaron Parre (Dani), Brandon Meyer, Kristina Howard (Jamie) and Austin Kooyman; her great grandchildren, Makenzie, Carter and Drake Howard; her close friend Jim Appleget; her siblings, Sonnie Loomis, Sue Snook (Bill), Don Smith, Doug Smith and Deb Horton (Bruce); and her sister-in-law Bridget Smith.
Memorials may be given to the Mitchellville Lions Club or Altoona Fire Department.
