She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Cecil Lingerfelt and Esther Lucille Lingerfelt (Chastain); her husband Timothy James Wood, Sr.; her siblings, Bob Lingerfelt and Geri Waltz (Lingerfelt); her son Timothy James Wood, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Carter Westergreen and Kayleigh Westergreen.
She is survived by: her children, Maureen Wolfe (Richard), Linda Cress (Michael), Joe Wood (Julie), Elizabeth Marchant, Michael Wood (Carol), Teresa Oliver, Sean Wood (Heather) and Shirley Stalker (Michael).
Shirley's family has requested that monetary contributions be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in her honor.
