He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Merical and Lola Merical; his sister Sue Hinderaker; his parents-in-law, James and Allegra Shediwy; and his great grandchild Abigail Ruddy.
He is survived by: his pet Libby; his wife Sandra Merical; his children, Andrew Merical (Becky), Matthew Merical, Linda Van Wyk (Doug) and Samantha Wonderlich; and his siblings, Charles Merical (Buzz) and Bev Pollpeter.
