He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Mildred; and his brother Clyde Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Debi Delaney (Ronnie) of Albia, Jeff Gardner (Lynn) of Altoona and Angie Bresson (Darryl) of Ankeny; his grandchildren, Nick Douglas (Kalei), Eric Douglas (Danielle), Taylor Scott (Nick), Brody Gardner, Tannor Gardner, Hannah, Claudia, Jack, Emma Bresson, AbbyGale Jr and Ronnie Delaney Jr.; his great grandchildren, Chase Douglas, Piper Douglas, Willow Scott, Sage Scott, Lila Slayton, Kiba Hemphill and James Delaney; and his siblings, Ray Gardner (Pat Hoelzel) and Dalene Bateman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
