She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlo Montegna and Beulah Montegna (Taylor); her stepmother Madge Montegna; and her siblings, Mary Angelina Mikels, Margaret Josephine McLary, Monelle Owenson, Esther Hansen, Donnie "Danny" Montegna, Paul "Poncho" Montegna, Charles Montegna and Jimmy Montegna.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Kennedy (Wanda) of Kelley, Carol R. Kennedy of Des Moines, Catherine Carpenter (Duane) of Slater and Anthony Kennedy of Ames; her grandchildren, Sabrina R. Kennedy, Angelina R. Shaffer (Stephen), McKenzie Alvarado, Shanae M. Carpenter and Shane D. Carpenter (Kelcie); and her sister Patty Ann Kennedy. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care (414 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50010). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at the Ames Memorial Gardens.
