It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darwin Pevestorf (Ames, Iowa), born in Stratford, Iowa, who passed away on October 7, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Pevestorf and Grace Pevestorf (Umbaugh); his siblings, Loren, Charlotte Hobart and Ruby Springer; his siblings-in-law, Byron Hobart, Clarence, Hap, John Wright and Norma Wright; and his nephew Rodney Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis of Ames; his children, Vickie Carter of Baldwin, Pamela Hasstedt of Windsor Heights and Brent Pevestorf (Liz) of Webster City; his grandchildren, Karisa Brown (Stacy), Tiffany Hasstedt, Krystal Jay (Andrew), Lindsey Harms (Scott), Ashley Lorenzen (Ben) and Jessica Pevestorf; and his great grandchildren, McKenna Brown, Tristynn Leon, Rylie Reese, Avery Jay, Briege Jay, Eastynn Hecht, Briar Lorenzen and Brogan Lorenzen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Iowa Chapters of the American Heart and the American Cancer Societies.
