He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Schulze and Joan Schulze; his brother Lou; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Schulze; and his son-in-law Larry Lasche.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Lee Grandfield; his children, David Schulze (Maralyn) of Marshalltown, Karen Lasche and Donna Lutz (Monte) of Ames; his grandchildren, Joshua Schulze (Trista), Jacob Schulze, Mara Pfaltzgraff (Alex), Lucas Lasche (Amy), Katie Lutz Mc (Matt) and Amanda Baetsle (Lance); his sister Nathalie Shapiro of Ellicott; and his great grandchildren, Ezra, Zoe, Matilda and Eli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
