It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen Landon (Ames, Iowa), born in Steamboat Rock, Iowa, who passed away on September 19, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Eberline and Pearl Eberline (Hamersly) of Marshalltown; her husband Keith; her son-in-law Monty Hemphill; her brother Donald Eberline; and her sister-in-law Ruth Eberline.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Hemphill of Ames and Julie Huisman (Tom) of Ames; her grandchildren, Becky Rogers (Aaron) of Ames, Katie Molstad (Nate) of Ankeny, Kevin Huisman of Ames, Melissa Huisman of Austin and Karina Huisman (Mark Kendall) of Manning; and her great grandchildren, Allison, Jacob Rogers of Ames, Bianca McConkey of Ogden and Lincoln Molstad of Ankeny.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ames History Museum (formerly Ames Historical Society).
