He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben H. Aurand and Evelyn G. Aurand (Parkinson); his former wife Marvel; his sister Dolores McRae; his former wife Lois Carruth; his brother Wayne O. Aurand; and his nephew Daniel F. Aurand.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Finney; and his children, Kathleen, John (Lori Ahlquist), Daniel, Carl M. Luther, Bonny Bay (Gary) and Barry Luther (Rose Marie). He is also survived by two children, three stepchildren, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to either Northcrest Foundation (1801 20th St, Ames, IA 50010) or First United Methodist Church (516 Kellogg Ave, Ames, Iowa 50010).
