He is survived by: his children, Gary Hall of Ames, Janice Halverson (Jim) of Huxley, Cindy Swanson (Don) of Ames and Carole Hall (Kim Florke) of Mingo; his grandchildren, Amy Mintun (Brian), Brett Halverson (Emily), Amanda Richter (Chris), Lauren Swanson-Hurley (Matt), Al Roche (Mary), Dennis Roche and Ron Roche (Heather); and his sister Betty Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Avon's name may be directed to the Ames American Legion, 225 Main St., Ames, IA.
